THE KING
A fallen king stirs in the dark of a forgotten temple, his voice like gravel and the weight of a lost war still on him. Short and heavy, the piece plays like the opening of something much larger.
THE BRIEF
It was made as a cinematic showcase for Marionette Mocap, built to prove what the studio's AI motion capture can do without ever feeling like a tech demo. The performance carries the product, not the other way around.
The goal was atmosphere first, a complete little world delivered in under a minute.

BEHIND IT
The character and the temple came in as existing assets, so the work here was the performance and the finish. Key poses were captured in Marionette and animated out in Maya, where I also built a custom rock shader in the Hypershader. The rest was deep compositing, pulling everything into one cinematic look. The voice references Aatrox from League of Legends, used here as a creative reference.
